About Our Organization
Boynton Beach Faith-Based Community Development Corporation
OUR HISTORY

The Boynton Beach Faith-Based Community Development Corporation (BBFBCDC), incorporated as a 501 © (3) organization in 1999. It was founded by local church members, began with broad faith community participation and a diverse board representing banking, business, residents, and faith organizations. Early support came from the City of Boynton Beach through CDBG funding and donated office space, supplemented by fundraisers, grants, service fees, developer fees, and housing development proceeds.
In 2011, BBFBCDC merged with R.M. Lee CDC to consolidate resources and leadership in response to declining funding, the foreclosure crisis, and overlapping services. Since then, the organization has expanded its programs and housing activities, though rising development costs
now place it at a pivotal moment.
BBFBCDC remains committed to serving neighborhoods with the greatest social, economic, and housing needs.
In 2017, in response to growing community needs, BBFBCDC expanded its programming to include the Affordable Rental Housing Program, offering stable housing to very-low- and low- income individuals, prioritizing formerly homeless, homeless or individuals at imminent risk of homelessness.

TRIBUTE TO KETURAH JOSEPH
Former Executive Director, Boynton Beach Faith Based Community Development Corporation
Today we honor the life and legacy of Keturah Joseph, whose faith, vision, and compassionate leadership helped shape the Boynton Beach Faith Based Community Development Corporation into a catalyst for affordable housing and community revitalization.
As Executive Director, Keturah dedicated herself to expanding homeownership opportunities, strengthening neighborhoods, and building partnerships that improved the lives of families throughout Boynton Beach. She believed community development was about more than building houses—it was about restoring hope, creating opportunity, and empowering people to thrive.
Keturah led with humility, integrity, and a servant’s heart, inspiring everyone around her through both her leadership and her faith. The homes built, families served, and partnerships established under her leadership continue to reflect her lasting impact.
Though Keturah passed away in August 2024, her legacy lives on through the organization she helped build and the countless lives she touched.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
May we honor her memory by continuing her mission of serving others, strengthening communities, and expanding opportunities for those in need.
